Yes. If the populations get big enough that the two are crossing paths regularly and competing for food, the rats may kill the mice. If food is plentiful they might both feed in the same area. This is rare, however, because the two types of rodents choose to make their nests in different areas; mice are more common inside while rats are usually outside. They won’t breed or interact.
